The HKR Pack Steel 35L introduces Technoforce™ Steel to the Liteway lineup. This is an ultralight fabric crafted from UHMWPE fibers with a polycarbonate-based coating, offering industry-leading abrasion resistance and long-term UV stability. If you frequently hike in rough terrain where brush and rock contact are common, this Steel 35L backpack is your best defense.
Like the rest of the HKR series, it utilizes UHMW PE cords instead of bulky webbing, keeping the full weight at a lean 365 grams. The Roll-Top loading design ensures quick access to the main 25L compartment, while the bottom pocket is perfectly positioned for storing snacks or trash without removing the pack.

Ultralight backpack HKR PACK STEEL 35L – is a very simple and minimalist backpack for true ultralight hikers.
HKR stands for Hiker Pack.
We started testing this backpack in 2021. Several variations and a bunch of prototypes and here is the most minimalist backpack, with a minimum of accessories and lightweight buckles and straps. Instead of some traditional straps, it is now a 2mm UHMW PE cord. This should allow you to concentrate exclusively on the trail and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains.
The backpack design has a simple Roll-Top loading design for quick access and easy volume adjustment. Many additional pockets for quick access, convenient placement and easy packing of equipment.

The main material (fabric) of the backpack is 100% waterproof, but please, pay attention that the seams of the backpack are not sealed. This means that the backpack is not waterproof.
